Elon Musk is pushing ahead with production and Model Y deliveries despite violating California's health and safety code meant to help curb the coronavirus. He said "Keeping the plant open is missing critical to Tesla right now. You don’t get two chances to launch a product. Being told you can’t produce it right at the exact moment when you’re ramping up production and deliveries, that’s a critical time in any company’s life, but particularly Tesla’s."
While this is a good move for Tesla, their customers and investors, its an incredibly risky move that can have some serious consequences. I will be following developments this quite closely. So far, here's some good reading on the situation:

Tesla will cut California factory workforce after coronavirus shelter-in-place order
