I didn't know about this either! This is going to be very handy for learning about all the charging locations in my area.
I'm glad to see that it actually works. I guess they aim a bit on the conservative side of things in their numbers.I used that to plan our move from Kansas to FL. I set it up for what I expected to get on our Bolt EV and we consistently beat it every time. I'll use it again if we take the Bolt beyond central FL.
I estimated 3.5 miles per kwh and our worse was 3.9. Most of the trip was done at 4.1-4.2. Gainesville FL to Tampa we even hit 4.5 miles per kwh. My wife was drafting behind me in my Silverado 2500HD pulling a 28' enclosed trailer. And charging over night ment the battery pack was never cold soaked. So much better than expected.

That's true, the Tesla's navigation is great, but it's good to know a tool like this is accurate so people can plan ahead of time. They do aim conservatively on basic settings, but you can change it around. If you know you'll be getting 3.5 m/kwh then you can set it for that.
Really there's not much need for this app in a Tesla as the Tesla nav software will route you with supercharger stops and tell you how long to charge, how slow you need to go, etc...
