Tesla Cybertruck will Drive Ford to Bankruptcy

Is this video too sensational, or is there some truth that the Cybertruck will threaten Ford's primary business so much that Ford's business model, heavily reliant on the profit margins from conventional pickups, will fail?

Will Covid-19 + the extraordinary capital investment required for EVs right now + lower truck volumes (less profit coming in) equal the end for Ford?

If you really think Ford will survive, their stock is down almost 70% right now.

I think this video is too sensational, sure things haven't been great for Ford but it's not like everyone is going to ditch their F-150 for a Cybertruck. Also, nothing's guaranteed about the Cybertruck at this point, we're still a couple of years away from it being released. There's a lot of stuff up in the air at this point to say that Ford is going to go into bankrupt and that the Cybertruck is going to be the reason for it.
Ford partnered with Rivian... Ford's not out of the game, and one thing with truck buyers it's dominated by cult followings just like Tesla.

Not only did Ford partner with Rivian but they are also independently building an F-150 Electric. Don't for a second think that even a large portion of Ford owners will jump ship to "get that weird truck-car thing that Tesla is making". Nope, Ford will come out strong... If a little late.

I believe Ford was developing theirs independently. However, their Rivian agreement might have opened the door to better technology for them. Rivian it helped with a network to support their vehicle.

Maybe. I know Ford said that Rivian has nothing to do with their F150 work but a future Lincoln WILL have Rivian tech. Also, they are going to build some SUV with Rivian under the Ford name.

I'm sure Ford is doing it independently but you'd have to think they're picking up a couple of things from Rivian for the electric F-150.
